Welcome back!

Sunday 19th April 2020.

WELCOME BACK to all our parents and guardians and especially to you, Primary One! I hope you are well rested after your Easter break but most importantly, I hope you are happy, healthy and safe.

The weather was glorious and I stuck to most of my plans! I walked (a little), baked, painted fences and power hosed. My power hose actually gave up on me, so I had to order another one! It's due to be delivered tomorrow, so I hope the sun continues to shine! With all those things going on I didn't get to do much exercise, unlike Miss McElroy! On top of her daily routines she also did a 5K run for the NHS. She donated £5. and then nominated five more people to do the run. Well done Miss McElroy! She sent you a photo - see below.  There's lots of fundraising being done for the NHS. I especially liked watching Captain Tom Moore who walked the length of his garden 100 times before his 100th birthday (at the end of this month). He is amazing! The last time I heard the news he had raised over £25,000,000. It's probably even more now and even increasing as you read this note! Did you go out to clap for our carers on Thursday night?

It's hard to believe that it is the start of Term 3! Your home learning activities are set out as before, along with some extra web links. Continue to check Week 4 on our WAU section on 'Dinosaurs' and our 'Grow in Love' section for religious activities. Remember to get lots of exercise, PLAY and continue to do your best. I will still check in on a daily basis with a little note or reminder on our ‘Daily post from Miss Hoy’ section.

Once again boys and girls, please take care and stay safe. Keep sending in your photos! Miss you lots.

God bless.

Miss Hoy x
