Mr Peter Milton found a skull on Slieve Binnian at the weekend. Slieve Binnian is one of the Mourne Mountains in County Down, 9km north of Kilkeel. It is the third highest mountain in Northern Ireland at 747 metres. Peter took the skull home because he knew it would link to our Farm Animal’s topic. We discovered that is was the skull of a sheep. How exciting!
After we went home on Friday 13th April a special package arrived. Inside were 33 tiny and very hungry caterpillars. Mr. Tighe and Miss Hoy helped them to settle into their new homes. What a nice surprise we had on Monday morning when we returned to school!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
