Sunday 24th May 2020.

Good morning to all our parents and guardians and another great BIG HELLO to you, Primary One! It’s Ascension Day - six weeks from Easter Sunday, can you believe it! I’ve had another lovely week even though we’ve had all kinds of weather! My caterpillars are growing fast - they’re wonderful to watch! My friend Suzanne visited me on Wednesday. We sat outside, keeping our distance - it was really good to see her! I had a FaceTime call from my cousin Ciera. She’s one of my relatives who lives in England. It was my mum’s 86th birthday yesterday. I baked her a cake - it was delicious! 

I have been in contact with Miss McElroy. She is well and so is her family. She was asking for you all. It’s actually 10 weeks from we were all together in school.

We’ve been at home longer than our summer holidays! To you, the mums and dads, think about the things that have taken place over this period of time - Lockdown, fear of the unknown,  missing family / friends; home learning; even shopping for food has been difficult - I miss shopping so much! Most importantly, you and your children are all safe and healthy. Well done on what you have achieved. You are doing a fantastic job and I want to thank you once again. 

To you, boys and girls, continue to enjoy making lots more special memories with your family. Tomorrow is a Bank Holiday - make sure to take the day off and enjoy it, no matter what the weather is like. Keep sending in your photos and continue to do your very best, you are doing a fantastic job too!  There’s another wee certificate for you below and a link for your parents. I will continue to check in on a daily basis with a little note and some more challenges!
