Accelerated Reading:
As discussed during parent teacher phone calls I am delighted with the progress made in accelerated reading this term. I hope the children will continue to read at home during their holidays. We will be completing a new Star Reader test after Christmas. Unfortunately, we cannot send books home this year due to the health crisis.
However, if the children have a library membership they can sign into Libraries NI Kids and avail of hundreds of eBooks. If you are unsure what level a book is. Simply type the name into ‘Accelerated Book Finder’ and the points for each book are readily available.
If you are having any difficulties or want to sign up for a membership, please contact Banbridge Library.

Homework
Welcome to our homework page. Homework will be posted here each Monday.
In order to support our transition back to School, homework routines and activities will be introduced gradually over the next few weeks. My priority will be settling your child in and getting to know their needs.
As the children settle back, our normal routine will be that each child will have a Maths task and a Literacy task to be completely weekly. Some like to do a little bit each night, some prefer to do it all on a night that suits their family life.
In addition to this your child will have a learning homework (Mental Maths and Spellings), these should be practised daily. They will have a check-up each Friday.
With regards to correcting your child’s homework etc., I would pick one or two words they are misspelling and ask them to correct only those.
In order to support your child with the completion of homework activities, please ensure that they are equipped with the following items:
