Sunday 7th June 2020.
Good morning to all our parents and guardians and another great BIG HELLO to you, Primary One! I hope you are all safe, well and happy.
Another week has gone by and I'm sure you are counting down the days until the end of June! Miss McElroy is well. She was looking at your photographs on the website and couldn't get over how much you have grown!
There was great excitement in the Hoy household the other day when the butterflies emerged! I'm hoping to release them today - weather permitting! Maybe I'll hold on to them for another while!
I'm really enjoying The Wildlife Trusts annual nature challenge, 30 Days Wild! which I started on 1st June! The aim is to do one wild thing a day throughout the month of June: for your health, wellbeing and for the planet. I highly recommend it! I've added some of my sheets to the section called 'Extra Games and Activities'. I've also added a few more stories to the section 'Coronavirus stories for children'. I love the one about Winnie the witch!
Thanks again, mums, dads, boys and girls for all your hard work and dedication over these past number of weeks. You are all stars! Remember boys and girls, continue to do your very best! There’s another certificate for you below and a wee link for your parents! Parents, please note the extra linked activities are still only suggestions and only choose those which you think is best for your child. Thanks for sending in your photos including your avatars from one of our daily challenges! I must say, it's great to see all the fun activities you've been getting up to - they'll be the ones you remember most!
I will continue to check in on a daily basis with a little note and some more challenges! Well done to everyone who entered the “Great Bann Bake Off” competition - can’t wait to see more creations! I made my Top Hats! Have a good week everyone. Remember the Healthy Kidz Virtual Sports Day is on Saturday 13th June! Have fun!
Miss you lots. Stay safe.
God bless.
