WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY!
There were lots of socks in St. Colman's Bann P.S. today.
We rocked our socks in support of World Down Syndrome Day. We even had 'rock' music in P.E!
WORLD BOOK DAY!
We celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as an 'adjective'.
Can you find the following adjectives in our photographs:
bad, beautiful, brave, curious, horrid, hungry, kind, magical, puzzled, royal, scary, spooky and strong?
MAKING VEGETABLE SOUP
We helped Miss Hoy and Mrs Poland to make vegetable soup today with the ingredients we bought in TESCO.
A big thank you to one of our dads for lending us his soup maker. We were able to watch it cook!

PANCAKE TUESDAY!
On Pancake Tuesday we went to TESCO.
We had special pancakes, a selection of fruits, chocolate spread and a drink. We walked around the store - inside and OUT to see different storage areas, fridges, freezers, fruits, vegetables, fish and checkouts.
We helped Miss Hoy to buy vegetables for the soup we will be making and we even got to scan items and print receipts!

A big THANK YOU to Joan and Zara for a wonderful day!
SNOW!
We couldn't believe our eyes when Miss Hoy told us to stop working and look out the windows!
We were SO excited to see the snow falling! We put on our coats and wellington boots
as quickly as possible so we could go out to explore! Check out our new Video Gallery to see us!
INTERNATIONAL POLAR BEAR DAY!
We talked about Global warming and things we can do to save our planet especially polar bears. Other things we did today included turning off the lights in our classroom, toilets and hallway; unplugging all electronic devices (although we needed the interactive whiteboard to look at a slideshow about the changes that are happening in the Arctic Circle) and designing some posters to ‘persuade’ everyone to help save the polar bears – we don’t want them to become extinct like the dinosaurs! Please click on the Eco-Committee link below to find out more about International Polar Bear Day and check our homework folders too. Thank you.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
