Today (27th February), Miss Hoy helped to draw our attention to the global warming issues faced by the Arctic region and asked us to get our families involved in thinking about and helping the polar bears. We turned our lights out in our classroom and with a little help designed our own posters to help save the polar bears. We brought home a leaflet today to try out some challenges at home; for example, taking a shower instead of a bath. We really don't want the polar bears ice homes to melt!
We were so excited to meet our new friends from Milltown P.S. and Gilford P.S. We enjoyed playing 'Getting to Know You' games and exploring NUMICON. We are looking forward to welcoming them back soon!
