Our shape hunt during Maths Week!
To start off Maths Week, we had lots of fun working with the P5/6 children, playing math themed games. In our classroom, we worked in teams to estimate, measure and compare objects using non-standard measure. We used language such as: heavy, light, heavier, lighter, more than, less than and equal.
Some of our Primary 2 children had a wonderful time exploring the mud kitchen. They mixed, poured, and stirred their own muddy creations using natural materials from our outdoor area. Through imaginative play, the children developed their teamwork, communication, and early measuring skills- all while having lots of messy fun! It was fantastic to see their creativity and curiosity come to life outdoors!
