Mr Peter Milton found a skull on Slieve Binnian at the weekend. Slieve Binnian is one of the Mourne Mountains in County Down, 9km north of Kilkeel. It is the third highest mountain in Northern Ireland at 747 metres. Peter took the skull home because he knew it would link to our Farm Animal’s topic. We discovered that is was the skull of a sheep. How exciting!

This caterpillar didn't attach itself to the lid before it turned into a chrysalis. It had to be transferred to the habitat by hand!

After we went home on Friday 13th April a special package arrived. Inside were 33 tiny and very hungry caterpillars. Mr. Tighe and Miss Hoy helped them to settle into their new homes. What a nice surprise we had on Monday morning when we returned to school!

We used 2D shapes to make pictures!
