The children will have commonly misspelled words to practise this week for a check-up on Friday. There will be no written homework (booklet).

I am so proud of the Holy Communion children. They were fantastic, very well done to Aaron, Aidan, Nathan, Caelan, Niamh, Emily and Sophie.

Homework

Welcome to our homework page. Homework will be posted here each Monday.

In order to support our transition back to School, homework routines and activities will be introduced gradually over the next few weeks. My priority will be settling your child in and getting to know their needs.

As the children settle back, our normal routine will be that each child will have a Maths task and a Literacy task to be completely weekly. Some like to do a little bit each night, some prefer to do it all on a night that suits their family life.

In addition to this your child will have a learning homework (Mental Maths and Spellings), these should be practised daily. They will have a check-up each Friday.

With regards to correcting your child’s homework etc., I would pick one or two words they are misspelling and ask them to correct only those.

In order to support your child with the completion of homework activities, please ensure that they are equipped with the following items:

• Pencils
• Sharpener
• 30 cm ruler
• Colours of some sort (colouring pencils or crayons or markers)
