Welcome to P2/3! 

Hello everyone, and a very warm welcome to our Primary 2/3 class!

On this page, you'll find an overview of what we'll be covering across different subjects each term.

During the months of January and February we will be focusing on:

Literacy

-Non-Chronological reports

-Developing our reading fluency

-Using describing words (adjectives)

-Expanding our vocabulary through our writing

-Practising correct letter formation, punctuation and spelling

-Learning new vowel sounds

Numeracy

-Place value, number bonds, more than/less than

-Addition and subtraction strategies (with and without regrouping)

-2D/ 3D Shapes

-Problem solving through real-life contexts

-Non-standard measure: weight, mass, capacity, volume, length and height

-Time: reading an analogue clock/ recording digital time

-Money: counting coins, making amounts and finding change. 

World Around Us

This term, Primary 2/3 will learn about Transport. We will investigate the different types of transport and learn some interesting facts.
