Daily message from Miss Hoy

8th January - Good morning boys and girls. I hope your first week of home learning went well. Thank you for your fantastic photos of your work, play and fun times in the snow. It was lovely to see all your smiling faces! laugh I enjoyed the snow too and made more marks, patterns, shapes etc which you can see in our WAU section! I’ve added another section with extra links and activities for your perusal plus see below for a little Numeracy and Literacy challenge! wink

The school will be open today from 9am-12pm for an adult to collect some extra resources which may help you during this period.

Have a good day and a great weekend. Stay safe and keep in touch!heart

7th January - good morning boys and girls. I hope all is going well with your home learning. Thanks again for all your fantastic photos! yes

I’ve added a few extra links to our Numeracy and Literacy sections and a winter hunt to our WAU section. I enjoyed my riverside walk yesterday, Jack Frost was busy again! I tried to find some ‘hair ice’ that they’ve been talking about on the news - I didn’t find any, so I decided to make some marks in all the glistening frost that he left behind! laugh Check out my photos below and tell your family what you notice. Maybe you could make some marks in the frost and snow too and send me some photos. Wish we were in school this morn, we’d be making a snowman! Remember, as beautiful as the frost and snow looks, it is also dangerous, so be careful when you are out exploring and playing!

Have a good day everyone. Enjoy the snow! Stay safe and keep in touch! heart

6th January - Good morning boys and girls. I hope your first day of home learning went well. I know you may be missing school and your friends but please remember, Miss Rooney and I are missing you too and are praying that we will all be back together soon. You worked so hard in term one and I am so lucky to be your teacher! laugh Thanks for sending in your lovely photos - you can view them in Term 2 January yellow star. I can’t wait to see more! wink

On our home page I’ve added a few extra ‘Jolly Phonics’ links to help you with your sound work. Please note - the most important thing about learning is to have fun. Make time to play, have plenty of movement breaks and drink lots of water. When I got home from school yesterday I went for a lovely walk along the Gilford riverside trail-I’m not in school today so I’m going to go back this morning after mass!smiley

Have a good day everyone. Remember to be kind and helpful to your parents and siblings. Stay safe and keep in touch!heart
