4th February - Good morning boys and girls. It is ‘Thankful Thursday’. What are you thankful for today? Maybe you could write it down and put it into your gratitude jar. smiley

Many thanks for all the fantastic photos of yourselves and your work and thank you for your lovely compliments for our star of the week. There’s still time to email your message -I’m looking forward to reading them out at assembly!

The EXPRESS YOURSELF CALENDAR above says for today “If you could choose an animal to turn into for one day, which animal would you choose and why? / to draw that animal. I’m going to draw a polar bear because it’s my favourite of all the bears and their cubs are really cute. Why don’t you have a go too! laugh

Have a lovely day everyone.

Stay safe and keep in touch. heart

3rd February. Good morning boys and girls. It’s Wellbeing Wednesday! Thanks again for all your super photos and comments for our Star - I am looking forward to receiving more. I lit a candle and said a prayer for you and your families yesterday.

Today is the feast of St. Blaise (I’ve added a few links below) plus it’s also Miss Rooney’s birthday - happy birthday Miss Rooney, I hope you have a happy day! laugh

Everyone wants to be happy - so for Children's Mental Health Week the crew at Newsdesk are encouraging pupils to do something that makes them happy. Today, I’d love you to log into My-School, go to Newsdesk (not Junior Newsdesk) and search for ‘Get happy, get snappy’. Read through the article and talk about what makes you happy.  I’d love it, if you would do something that makes you happy today, ask someone to take a photo of you doing it or draw a picture and send it in to me. Maybe you could enter the Newsdesk competition. I’ve added a photo below of the details.

Have a happy day boys and girls.

Stay safe and keep in touch.heart

2nd February.
Good morning boys and girls. It was lovely to see you yesterday on zoom! Hope to see you this morning for P.E. Thanks for all the great photos as well. Looking forward to seeing more plus your comments for our new star Amelia! laugh

Today is the feast of the Presentation of the Lord. This is when Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus to the Temple to present him to God. Today is also known as Candlemas Day. Candles that are lit today, symbolise that Jesus is the light of the world. Snowdrops are know as Candlemas Bells because they bloom at this time of year.

I’ve added a few links below for you to look at plus a few colouring pages. Maybe you could design / make your own candle or even light a little battery candle and say a prayer for your family. Continue to say your prayer to St.Brigid as well.

Have a good day everyone.

Stay safe and keep in touch.heart

1st February. Good morning boys and girls. We have a birthday girl today! Happy birthday Sophie! laugh I’ve included a wee certificate for you and a birthday song.

Happy St. Brigid’s Day to everyone! St. Brigid is one of our Patron saints, just like St. Patrick. I’ve added a few links about her, plus here is a little prayer that I’d like you to learn. We can say it at our assembly on Friday.

Saint Brigid of Ireland help us we pray, to be kind and loving in our work and in our play. Amen

Plus, The Armagh Rhymers will be presenting the story of St. Brigid through song, dance and craft by hosting a free virtual show at 11am today. You can join by clicking on this link.
